Sussy week

If you aren't certain what a sussy is, it is another name for a surprise. Thanks to our friends, Lauren and Stuart, they got us saying that word several years ago and it has just stuck.
I absolutely love sussies!

It all started early in the week when I received this book in the mail from my sweet friend Chelsea. She said this book really ministered to her while going through a miscarriage and that it blessed her by reading it. I can't wait to read it. Thanks Chelsea for blessing me.

Then Marc bought me a gift card for a massage from NWA deal Piggy. Nwa deal piggy is like the Living Social website. You can get great deals in the area for less. My back has been bothering me quite a bit, so I can't wait to use this.

He also got me this super cute clutch from a local coffee shop called Mama Carmens. A girl that Marc used to work with started an awesome company in India called JOYN. You can check it out here: http://joynindia.com/about/. You can find some of the products in a couple of stores around NWA at Mama Carmens and  Mustache.

I love it! It was perfect for the Razorback game!

We ended up getting tickets right before the game and it was such a blast. There is just something about going to that first game of the season! It's kind of like Christmas morning. We loved it.

WOO PIG SOOIE!

Well it was a great week of sussies! If you know me, you know I really love gifts! Thank you to my sweet husband for going above and beyond to make me feel special this week.

Happy Labor Day!

Happy 18th Birthday Meg!

Today is my little sis' birthday! I can't believe how old she is. I feel like it was just the other day that I named her and had her bassinet in my room like she was my very own little babydoll. I was so proud the day she was born. I think my parents were glad the day she was born too, so I would  not turn out to be a pathetic, only child who had imaginary friends. (I had two...yikes I must have been bord). Being that we are 7.5 years apart, we didn't have a ton of time together at home. We had 2 completely different lives at home. I left home when she had just finished 4th grade, and now she is graduating. WOW, I can't even believe it. I'm so excited she has chosen the UofA for college. (i had nothing to do with this choice of course...wink, wink.) I mean I have only been waiting 8 years for her! Ha. Sorry mom.
Anyways, back to the birthday girl. I'm truly thankful to have such an amazing sister. We have really become close the past few years and I'm way excited for next year. Although, I'm sure she will be extremely too busy for me.
So for her birthday, I decided to go to Little Rock this past weekend and surprise her. I had one of her friends take her to lunch and then I met them there. While she was ordering I came up behind her and surprised her! She couldn't believe it. Then on saturday dad took us to the races. Well as you can see, they were the big winners, and mom and I were not. Oh well, I guess it was her birthday!

We then took her to Kobes for dinner where her friends were waiting to surprise her.
She had no clue, obviously.

Then dad made his famous pancakes for breakfast on Sunday! Yummy.

So Happy Birthday Meg! We Love You!

My Ironman

My sweet, ironman of a hubby surprised me the other day with this really cool ironman watch!

What makes this watch so special is that . 1- mine is orange. 2- It can control your ipod while you are running (or in my case walking)! 3- water resistant and very sporty 4- my hubby surprised me with one!
This would be a great option for a Christmas present for someone. Marc found mine on woot.com , which are one-day deals, but they are also available at Target, Amazon.com, and I'm sure other places that sell watches.
It comes with a small connector that plugs into the bottom of your ipod which makes it connect with the watch. I was very impressed! I'm a sucker for electronic devices... and yes I know I'm a dork. I was able to work a vcr when I was 3.
Anyways, just a fun option for a fun gift!

Here are some specific features on it! (If you really care.)

Keep Your Sports Training Focused with this Sports Watch
Resin Band ; Buckle Closure
Indiglo Night-Light

Just thought I would pass this along!
I Hope everyone had a great weekend!
